Day 2: Try This Simple Step to Understand Your Eating Habits 🖊️💭

Hello friend,

Welcome back to The Diabetic Toolbox, where we are on a mission to end type 2 diabetes one family at a time.

Today is Day 2 of the Emotional Eating & Diabetes 14-Day Email Course, and our focus is on something simple—but powerful:

Day 2: Keep a Food & Mood Journal 📝💡

Now I know journaling isn’t everyone’s cup of tea—and that’s okay.

But as your friend, I’m asking you to try it for this challenge. If it doesn’t work for you, you can let it go. But it might surprise you by revealing how your emotions and meals support or sabotage your goals.

You don’t need a fancy planner or app. A dollar store notebook or folded paper will do just fine.

Why Keep a Journal?

A food and mood journal can:

  • Help you recognize emotional triggers before they turn into habits.
  • Reveal patterns in what you eat and how you feel afterward.
  • Support your blood sugar and weight loss goals with real-life feedback.

Take a few moments today and jot down:

  • What you ate
  • When you ate it
  • How were you feeling before and after the meal

It’s a gentle way to bring awareness without judgment.

📘 Don’t Forget Your Free Guide!

Your course guide includes:
