About Me

Hi, I’m Renee Reid.  I’m an Emotional Eating and Diabetes Lifestyle Coach, certified yoga teacher, and health educator who has spent more than a decade helping women create sustainable, compassionate approaches to managing prediabetes and Type 2 diabetes.

I specialize in helping women and men over 40 win the battle against diabetes through practical lifestyle changes that support blood sugar stability, emotional well-being, and long-term health.

My work focuses on helping people stabilize blood sugar, rebuild trust with their bodies, and develop daily habits that support health, without extreme dieting, shame, or burnout.

I believe lifestyle change works best when it supports your medical care, not replaces it. My approach blends evidence-based diabetes education, behavior change strategies, movement, and nervous system support so that the changes you make actually fit your real life.

My Story

This work is deeply personal.  Diabetes runs in my family, and years ago, I found myself facing my own diagnosis of prediabetes. Like many people, I felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice and frustrated by approaches that focused only on restriction and fear.

I knew there had to be another way.  Through my own journey, I began exploring the powerful connection between food, movement, stress, emotional eating patterns, and blood sugar stability. I discovered that meaningful change came from understanding my body and building habits I could maintain for life.  That experience reshaped my health and inspired the work I do today.

Now I help others navigate that same path with clarity, compassion, and practical tools so they can feel confident managing their health alongside their medical care.

Who I Help

I work primarily with adults over 40 who are navigating prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes and want a sustainable way to improve their health.

Many of the people I support are:

• Newly diagnosed and unsure where to begin
• Tired of restrictive diets that don’t last
• Struggling with emotional eating or stress eating
• Wanting to stabilize blood sugar naturally alongside their medical care
• Looking for a supportive, realistic approach to movement and lifestyle change

If you’re ready to take control of your health without feeling overwhelmed or deprived, you’re in the right place.

My Approach

My coaching focuses on holistic lifestyle support for blood sugar health, including:

• Building balanced, blood sugar–supportive eating patterns
• Addressing emotional eating with compassion and awareness
• Supporting nervous system regulation and stress management
• Encouraging sustainable movement like walking and gentle exercise
• Creating simple routines that support long-term health

Rather than focusing on perfection, I help people build small, consistent habits that create lasting change.

Education & Certifications

My work combines personal experience with professional training in health education, coaching, and movement.

Credentials include:

• Health Coach Institute (HCI) Certified Health & Wellness Coach
• Diabetes Lifestyle Coach Certification – Emory University in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
• Master’s Degree in Adult Learning & Development
• Certified Yoga Teacher
• Over 10 years of experience supporting adult learners and lifestyle change

My background in adult learning and behavior change helps me translate complex health information into clear, practical strategies people can use in everyday life.

My Philosophy

Health is built through consistent, compassionate habits that support your body over time.

I believe:

• Food should nourish, not punish
• Movement should feel supportive, not exhausting
• Lifestyle change should be realistic and sustainable
• People deserve education and support, not shame

When people understand how their bodies work, they gain the power to make choices that truly support their health.

Our  Mission

Our mission is to end Type 2 Diabetes one family at a time, through education, support, and empowerment.  We help people over 40 regain control of their health and win the battle against diabetes through education, empowerment, and sustainable lifestyle practices.

I envision a future where people living with prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes feel:

• informed
• supported
• confident in caring for their bodies

Managing blood sugar shouldn’t feel isolating or overwhelming. With the right tools and support, it can become a path toward greater strength, balance, and well-being.

A Note About Medical Care

My coaching is designed to support, not replace, medical care. I always encourage clients to work closely with their healthcare providers when making decisions about their health.
